The NSMC has been appointed by NHS Hastings and Rother Clinical Commissioning Group to operate a Safe Space facility in central Hastings on Saturday nights between 22.00 pm and 04.00 am. The Safe Space will provide a refuge for any vulnerable person needing our help while out in the town and we are looking to build a team of motivated volunteers to help us provide emotional and practical support for users. On this page, you can find more details of the role and how to apply. However, if you have any questions or want to talk about what is required, please contact John Landels on john.landels@thensmc.com or 07990 926718.

Key Fact

When we operated the pilot Safe Space in early 2017, our volunteers helped over 50 people over just two nights of operation.
