The NSMC is always looking for new and innovative examples of social marketing good practice. If you've been involved in an effective social marketing project or programme and would like to showcase your work and share your experiences, please complete the submissions form and email it to office@thensmc.com.

Are there any requirements to get onto ShowCase?

Yes. To ensure a high quality of social marketing work on ShowCase, case studies must:

  1. Aim to influence people's behaviour (not just knowledge, awareness or attitudes)
  2. Develop a strong understanding of the target audience
  3. Be based on insight into what moves and motivates the target audience
  4. Offer an attractive exchange by maximising the benefits and minimising the costs of adopting a new behaviour
  5. Use an appropriate mix of methods to influence the target behaviour
  6. Follow a structured and systematic process, with dedicated project management and leadership
  7. Engage with relevant stakeholders and partners, including senior managers and commissioners
  8. Be formally evaluated and demonstrate clear behavioural outcomes

How do I submit a case study?

If you think your project meets the criteria listed above, we'd love to feature it on ShowCase!

The first step is to send us some information on your project. Please fill in the submission form below and send it to office@thensmc.com.

To help us understand your project and assess its suitability forShowCase, please try to complete all sections of the submission form and provide as much detail as you can (within the stated word limits).

Our case studies are quite comprehensive and focus on the practicalities of delivering a social marketing project as well as outlining outcomes. Any reflections on your project, whether positive or negative, will be valuable learning for others, so please be open in your responses.

While the submission form is divided into sections, please try to link your responses so that the complete submission conveys the story of your project and the process you followed. Case studies should be written in narrative style and proofread for spelling and grammar.

What happens next?

A member of The NSMC research team will review your submission against the criteria and get in touch within two weeks to let you know if your case study is suitable for ShowCase.

If it is, we'd love to speak to you (either face-to-face or over the phone) to gather further information that will help us turn your submission into a full case study that illustrates the journey of your project.

Before the case study goes live, you will be given the chance to review the final version.
