In 2007, The NSMC set up the Learning Demonstration Sites scheme with funding from the Department of Health. At that time social marketing was relatively undeveloped in England and the programmes were designed to build knowledge and expertise in the discipline. This report, which is the first in a series of three, sets out the aims of each site and explains who they are trying to reach.
