Follow up video

The evaluation stage should not be seen as an end-point but the stage when the results of the evaluation are considered by key players and stakeholders, the implications digested and forward plans made as appropriate. Good follow-up helps to promote learning, enhance the evidence base and recognise and value the contributions of those involved.

This final stage in the process is one which can often be overlooked.  But it is important to see it as an opportunity to communicate outcomes and lessons learned to your funders, stakeholders and a wider audience.

Sharing the findings of evaluation means that future developments and interventions can build on learned success and failures. This increases the prospect that successful interventions will enter mainstream thinking and practice.
